The ā€˜Pride of Houston’ Yaupon Holly is an all-female cultivar guaranteeing beautiful and plentiful red berries every season. White flowers appear in spring. Native to Florida, this medium sized shrub grows between 15-20 feet high with a width of 8-12 feet. This is a dense multi-stemmed evergreen with an upright spreading growth habit and glossy, dark green leathery leaf blades. The showy red berries are an important food source for a variety of birds.
