The Green Saw Palmetto is a slow-growing native shrub commonly found in Floridaās wild and cultivated landscapes. It typically grows 3 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide, though it may reach up to 15 feet in dense habitats. Its stout, ground-hugging stems form dense clusters of green, fan-shaped fronds that often obscure the trunk. In spring, it produces fragrant yellow-white flowers, followed by small yellow fruits that ripen to blue-black from August through October, attracting birds and other wildlife.
