The Taylor Juniper Eastern Red Cedar is a tall, narrow cultivar tree in the Cupressaceae (Cypress) family. Native to Florida, this tree grows 15 to 20 feet high with a width only up to 5 feet. It has silvery-blue green evergreen foliage that normally turns a maroon-brown color in the winter. Taylor Juniper grows best in full sun where soils are well drained and water does not sit. This hardy tree can hold up to drought and erosion conditions, even deer! Due to its attractive, narrow shape, the Taylor Juniper is an excellent choice as a privacy screen, grouped together along a driveway or as an accent piece in a narrow location. They are also visually appealing on large acres of land.
